Make The Most Of Every Opportunity
Colossians 4:5
5 Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time
5 Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time
In November of 2016 I had the chance to attend my first Tennessee Titans game. It was strange because it felt like an away game. It was against the Green Bay Packers, and these Packer fans took over the stadium. This gave us the chance to talk with a family sitting in front of us who drove from Wisconsin to watch their favorite team play. Whenever the game was over they mine and my cousin's hands and thanked us for being a friendly "host" after the Titans crushed the Packers
It wasn't until later i realized that I blew a great opportunity. God had given me the perfect cha chance to explain that my friendliness wasn't the result of a Titans win. Instead, it was rooted in my walk with Jesus. I failed to share that truth, they left without hearing even a quick explanation of how Jesus changed me.
Paul understood the importance of taking advantage of every opportunity God provides. In the verse today, Paul was challenging the Colossians to act wisely when they encounter strangers and to use those encounters as divine appointments for sharing God's love. They don't happen by chance God gives us opportunities to share our story of how Jesus changed us. Let's take it a step further. Are you willing to share with friends or the ones you are close to about Jesus? We need to be sensitive to the doors He opens and be BOLD enough to step through him and live by example. Yes, we must have missed chances in the past, but we can look toward the future. If we do, He will use us to make an impact at home, school, work, and in your community.
Are you making the most out of your opportunities?

Are you making the most out of your opportunities?
Prayer:
Lord, l pray you to give me opportunities to share with others what you have done in my life, and when those chances come I ask that you give me the strength the be bold and willing to do so.
