30 For 30 Challenge: Day 11

Luke 6:22-23
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man. 23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.
We're wrapping up week 2 and our discussion on how growing your faith means owning your purpose in life. When we seek to live a life of greater purpose, there is a cost. But there is also a reward. Let's take a second and look at both of these.

Cost
Read 2 Corinthians 11:23-27. This is Paul giving a recounting to the Corinthians of what all he had been through simply because he had chosen to live out the purpose. God had called him to. I want you to think about what it would be like in your context to really live out the purpose God has called you to, day in, day out. Describe some of the tough things you might experience. What would it cost you to truly live out your purpose?

Reward:
Read Luke 6:22-23. Jesus was telling His disciples what to expect when people treated them poorly just because they followed Christ. How do you think this applies to you today? How will God reward you for living a purposeful life on mission for Him?

You know what? It will cost you if you start to grow your faith and pursue your purpose more intently. You will be faced with taking unpopular stands for your faith. You may lose close relationships with friends because of your walk with Christ. God may even call you out of your comfort zone. But the reward is worth it. Every time. You were designed for this. Don't miss the chance to discover and learn more about your purpose. You will be amazed at the world God opens up to you.

Prayer:
Spend time with God today asking Him to give you the courage to stand out for Him. Ask Him to help you stay focused on the purpose He has for you.
